Fans who’ve been asking for bigger and better maps in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) will finally get their wish as the much awaited Variety Map Pack has finally gone live on the Xbox Live Marketplace.

Robert Bowling‘s blog reported that the downloadable map pack was released this morning at around 6:30 a.m. PST. This debunked the previous mention of the downloadable content‘s delay for next week.

The Variety Map Pack includes two additional maps to help extend gamers’ FPS experience – the Broadcast and the Creek maps. These are the larger map sets fans of the game have been clamoring for from the developers. To help give players an idea of how the maps look like, we were able to grab two videos showing off the different aspects of each.

There’s also been word that there might be extra experience points given out this weekend, so make sure to get your hands on the new maps before then and see if you have what it takes to go against your fellow soldiers on the new battlefield.
