Call of Duty 4’s “Sleight of Hand” shows the gears of war
It’s a phrase commonly used by magicians. But see, men at war use it too. Or at least, the folks up at Infinity Ward seem to think so. And truly, why not? Call of Duty 4 (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360) features “Sleight of Hand,” a skill that allows you to reload weapons faster. Yes, we know it’s not anything entirely new. Some critics and people online have said that it’s nothing but CoD4‘s version of Gears of Wars‘ Active Reload System.
Regardless of how good/bad you think it is, you can’t deny the fact that it’s going to be useful in warfare. You’ve got bullets raining down on you for Jimmy’s sake! In war, there’s no “Time Out!” It’s all about skill, and judging from this video, Sleight of Hand as well. Yep, these are, indeed, the gears of war.
