Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops is also coming to the Nintendo DS. Dubbed as an all new “companion” game for the PC and console version of the game, the handheld version of Black Ops “will put gamers in the boots of CIA-backed operatives that are dropped into the shadowy world of deniable operations with an expansive arsenal of weapons at their disposal.”
Developed by the folks at n-Space, the DS exclusive title will feature six-player online multiplayer mode with a new perks system and a unique two-player co-op mode as well as arcade and challenge modes that will allow gamers to replay the single-player missions to earn extra points to unlock additional achievements. n-Space Studio head Dan O’Leary says:
“Call of Duty: Black Ops for the Nintendo DS is going to take the handheld Call of Duty experience to a new level. From taking the controls of an attack helicopter to flying an experimental stealth fighter jet, players will have a wealth of new features to utilise.”
The hotly anticipated title is scheduled to arrive on the PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Nintendo DS on November 9, 2010.
