While David Jaffe did not have any regrets about leaving God of War III, he does have feelings of regret for Calling All Cars. It was, as he put it, “a mistake.”
While David Jaffe did not have any regrets about leaving God of War III, he does have feelings of regret for Calling All Cars. It was, as he put it, “a mistake.”
At the DICE Summit where Jaffe spoke for panel, he was asked if he considered Calling All Cars a hardcore or casual experience. In reply, he said, “I’d call it a mistake.” Expounding on that answer, he said that a lot of the details surrounding the game were often at odds, such as the pricing, gameplay, art style and platform choice.
Primarily, it was a mistake in Jaffe’s eyes because it was trying to be a lot of things. “It didn’t know what it really wanted to be.”
Many people were impressed by the game, actually, so it’s kinda surprising to hear this from Jaffe. Calling All Cars is on the PSN.
