Calls of Boycott: Fans vs Devil May Cry 4 going multiplatform

Devil May Cry 4's Nero - and the total number of petitions - Image 1

The last time we heard the words “Capcom” and “gamer uproar” in the same sentence here at QJ Central was probably the announcement that Devil May Cry 4 would be “EXPLODING ONTO MULTIPLE PLATFORMS“. But we still couldn’t help but scratch our heads at the sight of this floating on the interwebs:

To: Capcom

We (The people that have signed this petition) feel very left out in your decision to make Devil May Cry 4 a Multi-Platform title, and hereby agree to boycott your sale of Capcom affiliated games. This is due to your decision to turn your back on your most faithful gaming company. For years we have enjoyed games, we have reaped the benefits of your committment to Sony. We find it absolutely demoralizing for not only the gamers, but also Sony itself. We want you to know that will not, and should not stand for your actions, and therefore withold our option of buying your product.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned

Total number of signatures? Two thousand four hundred and fifty two. We could almost see the pitchforks and the torches snaking its way to Capcom’s doors with people screaming “OFF WITH HER HEA-” err… “BOYCOTT!”. But before you guys get on your high horses and/or run to the Capcom Petition site to sign up, let’s not forget that Capcom is a corporation (read: business). ‘Nuff said.
