Cancer patient gets PSP from classmates

Awwww....The Intelligencer reports that Shawn Shoulders, a 12-year-old sixth-grader suffering from Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer, has recently received a nice gift from his classmates.

The students say that through various fund-raising efforts they were able to raise $2,100, including gas, and a PSP for their ailing buddy.

“It’s really a wonderful thing, and we appreciate everything they have done,” says Becky Shoulders, Shawn’s mother. “It shows that, when something happens to one of their students, they all pull together.”

Yes, we posted this under off-topic. A heart-warming tid-bit for the holidays.
