Capcom clarifies on SSF2 HD Remix beta, hints at Onimusha and Clock Tower films
Capcom wants to preempt any whines and moans about the Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix beta that’s coming along with today’s XBLA release Commando 3: Wolf of the battlefield. The company also hinted in their 25th anniversary celebration that movies are lined up for some of their top franchises. More details after the jump.
If you’re excited about the Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix beta that’s coming along with XBLA game Commando 3: Wolf of the Battlefield, you may want to read up on an announcement by Capcom. According to the publisher, the trial run for the anticipated brawler won’t be up and running until the 25th of June.
That said, there will be an option for the beta found in the Commando 3 interface, but it’ll give you an error message if you try to access it. When June 25 hits, players will be taken to a blade where they can download the rebirth of the old favorite and test it.
Be reminded that only the Xbox Live version of Commando 3 has the beta in it. The PlayStation Network counterpart won’t. Both services, however, will get the full product when it’s finally released. Commando 3 will cost 800 Microsoft Points to download.
Also in the Capcom blogs, the company celebrated its 25th anniversary and thanked the fans for their constant support. Hints were also dropped that a Clock Tower movie is slated for a 2009 launch while a film for Onimusha is planned for 2011. We’ll keep you posted for more.
