We’ve told you about Capcom’s participation in the upcoming Comic-Con International which will be held in San Diego from July 20 to 23. Now here are details of the three game tournaments Capcom will also be hosting at that event.
There will be two Street Fighter tournaments and one Megaman Battle Network 6 tournament at Comic-Con.
The first of the three tournaments, Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting (which was also Capcom’s first title for the XBLA), will take place on July 22 from 12nn to 5pm. Megaman Battle Network 6 will take place on July 23, from 10am to 12pm, and third and last tournament, Street Fighter Alpha 3, will also take place on the same day, July 23, from 12:30pm to 4pm.
All three tournaments will take place in Room 29 C/D in the same venue as the conference. There will be 128 players competing in each tournament – 72 of which will be accepted via online registration while the rest will have to sign up at Capcom’s booth on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The winner of the first tournament will receive an Xbox 360 premium console from Microsoft, the Megaman Battle Network 6 tournament winner will receive one Nintendo DS Lite from Nintendo of America, and the last tournament’s winner will be receiving a $250 Best Buy gift card.
