Capcom: Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G exceeds 1.5 million sales in Japan
Capcom‘s just sent word that Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G has already exceeded 1.5 million in sales over in Japan. What can we say? The region’s love for giant insects, crabs, and lizards (and hunting them down apparently) can’t be beat. More details on this news are available in the full article.
It looks like Monster Hunter Freedom 2nd G‘s momentum is still carrying over even after it hit the one million mark last year.
Capcom has recently announced that as of today, the game has sold over 1.5 million copies over in Japan. By comparison, Capcom’s Monster Hunter franchise has sold over 6.8 million units.
This means that 2nd G alone is attributed to around 22 percent of overall sales. Not bad for a game that’s only been out for a little less than two weeks.
That said, Capcom still hasn’t revealed when the game – or its accompanying trinkets – will begin shipping outside its home territory.
Consider this news a teaser of the sort reception the game could be picking up when it does hit North America and other markets.
Until then, keep in touch in case we receive any more related info.
