Capcom no longer showcasing Dead Rising 2 at E3

Dead Rising 2 (Xbox 360, PS3, PC) executive producer Keiji Inafune has now officially canceled his E3 appearance. With the top guy not attending, Dead Rising 2 will also not be making an appearance at the event.
Speaking to Kotaku, Capcom‘s Chris Kramer said that Inafune’s cancellation is due to Japanese government restrictions that arose because of a swine flu outbreak in Osaka. Capcom’s main headquarters is located in the area.
While development on Dead Rising 2 is being handled by the Canada-based Blue Castle, Inafune has kept a close eye on the project.
Kramer also clarified that Dead Rising 2 is the only game they’ve pulled out. “Dead Rising 2 is the only game we won’t be able to showcase at E3, because it’s at an early stage of development and the team is not comfortable having anyone else demo the code,” he said.
