Capcom: no Resident Evil 5 for the PC
Capcom‘s Keiji Inafune may have had made a passing mention of Resident Evil 5 (PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360) for the PC in an interview, but as it turns out, no such thing will see the light of day (at least, that’s how Capcom put it). But does it mean that we’re not going to have a souped-up PC version of our favorite zombie shooter? More in the full article.
Those hoping for a PC release of Capcom‘s upcoming zombie rampage Resident Evil 5 (PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360) shouldn’t get their hopes up any longer. Apparently, a gaming website Spong quoted Capcom’s Keiji Inafune in an interview with the following juicy reference to a Resident Evil 5 for the PC:
As for Resident Evil 5, all weÂ’ve done is shown the trailer and weÂ’ve been instructed not to say anything more to anybody…not just you press guys … anyone. Other than it is scheduled for release next year on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
When contacted for clarification, however, Capcom said that Resident Evil 5 is slated only for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles. “Our UK office will be following up with Spong to have this corrected,” Capcom said about the issue. It’s sad, yes, but do take note that this is not an outright “no” statement – there’s still a chance that yes, Capcom will do Devil May Cry 4 and publish a PC version of RE5 – with all the good stuff thrown in.
