Capcom is planning to release a downloadable demo for Lost Planet 2 during or soon after E3 09. This was revealed by producer Jun Takeuchi during Capcom’s Captivate09 event in Monaco. A playable version of the game is also being readied for those who will attend E3.

Don’t get your hopes up too high, though. Just because a demo’s coming in the next couple of months doesn’t mean that Lost Planet 2 is almost ready to hit retail. If you’ll recall, Capcom also released a demo for the original Lost Planet months before it actually launched.
Right now, Lost Planet 2 still has a late winter release target. For now, check out this new trailer. It’s like Monster Hunter with futuristic machine guns!
