Capcom: Sales projections for March ’07

What’s Capcom‘s cooking up for next year? With that in mind, we did a scoping out of the Capcom main site, and found this particular image. It’s an Investor Relations graph, and from the looks of it, it’s the number of titles and corresponding copies they’ve been shelling out per console after a given time span. This one covers March of 2005, until March of 2007.

Here’s a translation of what they’re planning in ’07 with regards to the portables and the next-gen consoles:

  • PS3: Three titles lined up by next year, at a total of 150,000 copies to be sold.
  • PSP: Twenty-One lined up by next year, at a total of 3.2 million copies to be sold.
  • Xbox 360: Six titles are slated for next year, at a total of 2.25 million copies to be sold.
  • DS: Ten titles are slated for next year, at a total of 1,6 million copies to be sold.
  • PC: One title slated for next year, at a total 100,000 copied to be sold.

For the PC fans, this is an improvement – the same tables indicated there were no PC releases as of the month September of this year. Just take notes that this analysis was dated November 13, 2006. That means major announcements like Resident Evil 5 getting Boson-jumped to 2008 may not have been taken into consideration. For those still intent on getting at least a guesstimate, click on the read link. Enjoy.
