Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia spotted in U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
Here’s something that may get all Castlevania fans excited: A new Castlevania title has been spotted as a newly-filed trademark in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Titled as Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, there’s still no word if the game is the new Nintendo DS Castlevania that Koji Igarashi has been hinting about, or if it will be released for other platforms. More details in the full article.
Remember Castlevania producer Koji Igarashi‘s (also known as IGA to fans) word of a new vampire whipping game for the Nintendo DS? It looks like the project is already on the roll, now that a new Castlevania title, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, has been spotted among the newly-filed trademark registrations in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
It certainly is an intriguing find, but we don’t know for sure whether this is the new DS Castlevania game that IGA hinted about last year or not, or if this will be a Castlevania game for other platforms (next-gen vampire beating, anyone?). There’s also a remote possibility that it could be the sequel to the mobile title, which is similarly named as Castlevania: Order of Shadows.
In any case, we’re excited to know that we’re going to have a serving of whipped vampires (or whipped vampire hunters) in the near future. You can also count on us to keep you posted on this juicy tidbit, so stay tuned.
