Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin special pre-order goodies
“What is a man? A miserable little pile of secrets.”
Or so says Dracula anyway. For those who may not know, however, Castlevania fans can look forward to one of the nicest pre-order bonuses I’ve seen so far.
With the release Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin coming around faster that we can say “Belmont”, several gaming stores are putting up an offer that few may be able to resist. For one thing, pre-ordering this title for the DS would get you some cool goodies as well which is being included in the deal as a way to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the Castlevania series. So, when that package comes in the mail after the game’s release on December 5, expect to see the following in your box:
- a copy of Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin for the Nintendo DS
- a CD containing the music from the entirety of the series’ lifespan
- a 48-page art book with dust jacket
- a Castlevania DS stylus
- a DS game case which can hold up to two games
Not bad for a US$ 39.99 purchase, if you ask me. It just makes you love Konami by the day, doesn’t it? Deals like this can’t help but make one wonder if this could be the beginning of a beautiful new friendship among game companies, retailers, and consumers.
After all, everyone loves freebies and goodies and nice little extra things, whether it be discount cards or a twelve-inch resin statue. Everyone just loves a good deal, and that’s no secret.
