Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles stage 3 and 4 gameplay vids

For those of us who just can’t wait to sink our teeth into the highly-anticipated Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles, here’s something to get us through the everlasting night: two gameplay videos of Richter whipping his way through Stages 3 and 4.

Graphics are looking sweet and smooth as usual, and the music has that signature Castlevania tone to it. One major thing to note here is that even with the transition from good-old fashioned 2D to 3D, the game itself still has that methodical, subdued feel that immediately ramps up when you encounter one of the game’s many monsters (including a giant white skull).

And while it’s certainly good that they kept to the original’s quirk of letting you keep only one sub-weapon, it would’ve been convenient if they added the RPG-ish item and weapon systems found in the game’s DS-based 2D sequels.

In any case, enjoy the videos!
