If you don’t know the difference between a lure and a tacklebox but still want to experience the noble sport of fishing, then you might want to check out Sega Bass Fishing for the Wii. The game is expected to be released next year and is said to have 15 different lake environments, over 20 different lures, and full support for the Wiimote and Nunchuk.
For those unfamiliar with this title, it is a fishing game that was originally released in the Arcades and the Dreamcast. While some people criticized the game for it’s “simplistic” approach to fishing, the game still sold well enough and has developed a solid fan base.
Judging from the screenshots, Sega Bass Fishing looks like a sharper reincarnation of the previous versions. The fish look pretty well rendered and the different lures should catch the eye of anyone even remotely interested in fishing. Let’s just hope that it has great gameplay to back up the visuals.
