According to the development team composed of ex-employees of companies such as Bungie Studios, Red Storm, Microsoft, Electronic Arts, NCsoft, Anvil, and Origin, “Plunder” has been influenced by Klaus Teuber’s board game Settlers of Catan, and will mostly have tile-based RTS elements.

In this game about pirates, players will be tasked with steering a ship and grabbing land. To make the game more interesting though, gamers will also have the ability to attack enemy ships and get upgrades as they plunder as much as they can.

The players’ ships will grow stronger as they advance throughout the game, making them a formidable threat as they prey on other ships. As with almost anything pirates-related, there will be traps and curses involved in “Plunder,” making it a more exciting game.

If you think Certain Affinity’s new game sounds easy to understand, well, it supposedly is. The game is easy to learn, with its mechanics easily understood by people of any skill level. But it’s mastering the game that’s going to be hard.

Certain Affinity’s game also boasts of eight player online action and four-player split screen options. There will also be matchmaking elements like in Halo games’ party system. “Plunder” will be published by Capcom and currently has a June release window.
