Champions of Middle Earth: Boromir
He is the son of the Denethor, Steward of Gondor, and heir to the stewardship.
But sadly Boromir died a hero’s death in the hands of the Uruk-Hai in the movie and the books.
His story within the lore of the Lord of the Rings Online starts when he is warned of Isildur’s Bane in a dream. Spurred by the message he leaves Minas Tirith and seeks Elrond, the Half-Elven, who was there when Isildur failed to summon the strength of will to destroy the One Ring in Mount Doom.
In Rivendell he learns that Isildur’s Bane is none other than the One Ring that Isildur cut off from Sauron’s hand, and the same envy of power that consumed Isildur now consumed him. He longs for the One Ring’s Power and, perhaps by destiny, was chosen to be part of the Fellowship of the Ring when it was first formed in Rivendell.
Players of Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar may choose to visit him in Rivendell as he offers wisdom and tests of valor.
