Changes to pistols in Counter-Strike: Source

In the world of Counter-Strike: Source, one pistol is perhaps the most coveted of the handguns there are in the game. It’s the beloved Desert Eagle, or Deagle for short. The attraction of the high-powered, seven-shot pistol has been such that the prices for the gun on Steam have reached a premium. Due to the rising price of the gun and the noticeable disuse of other pistols, Valve has decided to stir things up a bit.

It’s a two-step process, really. A recent Steam announcement stated that they’ll be doing some tweaking on the pistols to make the Five Seven, P228, and Dual Elites more useful in combat. To level the playing field, they’re also resetting the prices of the pistols to entice people to try out the tweaked versions of the guns. They’ve yet to announce a date for this change, so you may want to check the Steam storefront a little more often, and practice with the other handguns while you’re at it.
