Chinese Get A Glimpse of PS3 At China Joy in Shanghai
Sony Computer Entertainment (SOE) is set to show off the PS3 at the Tokyo Game Show in September, but it already dazzled the Chinese gaming community when it made its first appearance at the China Joy in Shanghai. The next-gen console went on display at China’s largest game show and instantly became a hit.
Too bad though, the PS3 may not even be released in China at all. It will all depend on the Chinese government, because apparently, Peking has a law that restricts sales of video games and consoles, especially those developed overseas. If SCE Asia is able to work around the problem, including that of content censorship and customs issues, our Chinese friends could very well be waiting in line come November.
