City of Heroes/City of Villains Issue 7: Manifest Destiny Preview
NCSoft and Cryptic Studios gave a special preview of Issue 7: Manifest Destiny, the upcoming free expansion for City of Villains and City of Heroes. The expansion introduces new zones – Grandville and RecluseÂ’s Victory.
In Grandville, propaganda posters and statues of Lord Recluse fill the dark urban environment. If your ambition is to be part of Recluse’s force, you have to show you’re worth it by completing missions that may not be to your liking, but will definitely bring you close to Recluse’s lieutenants. While all that happens in Grandville, good and evil battle it out in Recluse’s Victory, a specialized PVP zone where the victorious gain control of Paragon City. And if you have this urge to go on a rampage, then the “Mayhem Missions” will satisfy that urge. This is where villains destroy cars, beat up innocent civilians and blow up buildings. The physics engine of the game has been ramped up to give the proper rampage effects.
The explosive expansion pack will be available later this spring or early summer.
