Ahtya from PSPChina has updated the CNReader to fix v4.1. CNReader is an ebook reader which supports multiple languages. It is originally created by Moon from PSPChina, then constantly updated by ahtya from the same forum. The program has been evolving for a couple of months. The author has fixed many bugs as well as added a bunch of handy functions. Here is the detail:

Function list:
– Zip file browsing. Browse zip files like normal folders. Supports Chinese filename.
– CPU underclock for power saving. CPU clock set to 10, bus set to 5. Real speed is 9/54.
– Bookmarks saved in bookmark/bookmark.cfg. Bookmark name is randomly generated.
– Support manually select encoding: GB2312 (Simplified Chinese), Big5hk (Traditional Chinese), Shift_jis (Japanese). Auto selecting Unicode encoding.

You can get CNReader for 1.0 PSP from our PSP download section [here].
You can get CNReader for 1.5 PSP from our PSP download section [here].

You can get the source code of CNReader in Chinese from our PSP download section [here].
You can get the source code of CNReader in English from our PSP download section [here].

Notice: the interface of this program is in Chinese. I translated the source code into English. Anyone is interested in compiling an English version of the CNReader, can use the English source code. We also wish someone could modify the default font in fonts/hz16.zip, since itÂ’s really not pretty for displaying English characters.

Currently, this application/game will only run on PSPs with firmware version 1.0 or 1.50. If you do not know which firmware version your PSP has, or if you need help installing this application/game on your PSP, check our Ultimate FAQ.
If you have a higher firmware version than 1.50 on your PSP, pleas check the information below:
– To downgrade the firmware from a version higher than 1.50, please visit [here].
– If you want to try to run it on a 2.0 PSP, please visit our forum for the latest 2.0 eboot loader [here].
