Yahoo! Games has recently revealed that on October 11, 2007, the general public will get its hands on the very first PC demo of Activision and Infinity Ward‘s Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The anticipated FPS release will be there on its servers for a day for all to enjoy.

Featured in the demo will be a single-player mission called Bog Rescue where the objective is to aid an Abrams Tank in distress somewhere in a bomb-gutted Middle Eastern city. True to its modern warfare billing, this demo will have you in a night mission where you can use modern equipment to gain a fighting edge over the enemy in the dark.

The release of the demo to the public comes just three weeks shy of the full game’s expected release. After Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare launches, the PC demo will be available at any time on various other sites.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is the first in the franchise to venture out of the WWII setting. It plunges players deep into today’s kind of conflict with up-to-date equipment, weapons and tactical elements. Watch out for this bullet-riddled blast on the Sony PlayStation 3 and the Microsoft Xbox 360 too as we give you updates.
