Codemasters, the developing studio behind Colin McRae: DiRT and the upcoming titles Turning Point: Fall of Liberty and GRID, is creating some buzz with the announcement of a new game, but they’re pretty hush hush about the whole thing, giving just enough tidbits for us to chew on until they give us new info. Developing team Codemasters is creating some buzz with the announcement of a new game codenamed “Project Strike Team.” They’re pretty hush hush about the whole thing but they do give us some tidbits to chew on.
The new original IP will be developed at their recently opened studio, Codemasters Guildford. In an interview with the studio’s execs they describe the game simply as a “character-driven action title.”
Aside from that the only solid clue we get out of the team is the image provided here, featuring a gritty “Sin City”-like style. The image was used in recruitment ads for the team. (Piece of trivia: the image features current members of the team.)
The game is due out on 2009 and we’re most likely to see the game come out on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
