It’s been quite a while since we last heard about homebrew developer alekmaul‘s Colecovision emulator for the Nintendo DS, namely ColecoDS. Now, it seems that the project is alive again, and in this version, we find out that the emulator has been given a complete makeover.
Let’s check out what’s up with this particular piece of homebrew that lets us remember our old ColecoVision days. The complete changelog of ColecoDS version 2.1:
Version 2.1: 10/04/2008
- Rewrite of a lot of the interface
- Addition of sending the compatibility list
- New engine for the TMS9918, Buck rogers, Bump N jump are ok now
- New color palette, closest to the TMS9918
- Optimizing the display of each graphics mode
- Correction pb of redefining keys # 7 and higher
- COLECO.ROM included in colecoDS
- Again, changing savestates, elders no longer work, sorry: (
