Confirmed: Dissidia gets Gabranth from Final Fantasy 12 *Update* final trailer revealed
Heh. I knew it. Trust your loyal Dissidia blogger (and FF geek par excellence!) to make a sound educated guess, mmm hmm. We finally have confirmation that Judge Gabranth from Final Fantasy XII will be joining the playable roster for Dissidia: Final Fantasy. Sorry guys, poll closed. I win. *wink*
*Update* Finally, it’s the CX trailer that was promised earlier! Get ready for a trailer to end all trailers: tons of pre-rendered CGI footage and in-game cutscene clips!

We finally have confirmation that Judge Gabranth from Final Fantasy XII will be joining the playable roster for Dissidia: Final Fantasy. Here’s a screen cap showing him, Cosmos, and Shantotto, having a conversation at the end of a recent trailer aired on Japanese TV. You’ll know it’s Gabranth because of the weapon he wields and what you can see of his helmet.
Now what was it that I said the other day in that one article? Ah… right:
I cast my vote: my guess is it’s going to be Gabranth to represent FFXII! My guess would have originally be Balthier, but… Gabranth’s one of the few characters that remotely suits the “both good and bad at the same time” trend that FFXI’s Shantotto already set for Easter egg playables. So there. My guess is Gabranth.
Excuse me while I put on that smug “I told you so” face, proving to myself once more that I’m the biggest dork, ever. So moving on…
Anyways, we’re still waiting for that footage from Game Center CX. We’ll update this article once we’ve gotten the video. Keep it savvy!

*Update* Finally we’ve spotted an embeddable video of that Game Center CX trailer. And damn, it’s looking waaaay epic. Being the last trailer to air before the game’s release, this is your “OMFGBBQ” moment right here!
The trailer shows tons and tons of gameplay footage. There’s a whole new bulk of pre-rendered CGI clips, plus in-game cutscenes and battle. We’re also given a rundown of all the officially introduced characters too.
Yep, after months and months of updates and speculation and media blitzes and announcements, we now have this final trailer for Dissidia. Enjoy!
(By the way, it’s not until the very last part – after the Dissidia logo – until Gabranth finally makes his show-stopping entrance.)
