Via press release (and through the PS Blog too), SCEE has announced Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier for the PSP and PS2 to arrive this fall season. Picking up right after the events of the J&D trilogy, the story here will follow the two friends and their buddy Kiera on her quest to become a Sage.
Strange though. I was under the assumption that The Lost Frontier was previously rumored to be a PS3/PS2 game. Back in 2006, it was said to be a reboot. Guess the rumors were partly false then. Not that I’m complaining. Maybe Naughty Dog is still working on a PS3 J&D despite this too.
Oh yeah, year of the PSP indeed: LittleBigPlanet, MotorStorm, Dissidia, and now… Jak & Daxter too? All within the year! Aww, Sony, you make me all teary eyed in joy.
