Control the Wii with the DS in Pokemon Battle Revolution
We can’t believe it slipped past our notice. Heck, we just posted the screenshot yesterday and it escaped our attention, so we might as well point it out to you today.
If you remember our earlier article about Tsunekazu Ishihara‘s plans for the Pocket Monsters franchise, he mentioned something about linking up the Wii and the DS. Well, if the screenshot above is any indication, Siliconera has also confirmed that the DS will act as a controller for the action in Pokemon Battle Revolution.
Using the DS touch screen, you can command your monsters to do specific attacks, which will be transmitted to the Wii and will promptly play out on your television screens. What does this mean for multiplayer? You can have an actual head-on fight with a friend and see the action with a whole lot more graphical goodness than a small handheld display can offer. Sounds like something straight of a cartoon battle, but you have to admit that it’s a cool idea.
Pokemon Battle Revolution will be coming out in Japan during the launch period, and you can expect copies of a North American version to make their way to store shelves sometime next year. Boo-yah!
