Copywriting woes: XBL demo descriptions done badly
Over on the Quarter to Three forums, XPav found evidence of bad copywriting at work on Microsoft‘s Xbox Live service. He noticed that some of the available Xbox Live demos have less than excellent descriptions for them, and he took pictures of them for posting on the internet.
As you’ve probably noticed, someone was bound to pick it up and circulate it. In the case of the “Incredible Fighting Game” known as DOA 4, it’s also bound to be funny as heck
What does this tell us about Xbox Live and life, however? Three things:
- That some people (perhaps copywriters or programmers) forgot to change their placeholder descriptions with actual game descriptions.
- Someone is bound to call you out on your shoddy work, letting the world find out about it.
- Some unknown ghost writers will be getting a stern talking-to very soon.
We took some of the most glaring examples of lackluster work for you, but trust us, they’re all atrociously bad. Enjoy!
