Could a Wii Diet Game be in the Cards?

Wii

A report from Bloomberg has revealed that a dieting game for the Wii may be in the works. According to the report from Bloomberg which was issued after the strong performance of Nintendo’s Japanese stock, a new form of game is in development at Nintendo including Wii-based dieting software. The report states that not only are Nintendo developing diet-related software for the Wii, but other different forms of software for the Wii in order to draw in new users.

This news comes just as Nintendo of America‘s Reginald Fils-Aime“>Reginald Fils-Aime outlining Nintendo’s goal to have as many teens and young adults as they have 40-plus-year-olds excited about the platform earlier today. The report noted that other Nintendo titles, specifically Brain Age for the DS, have been able to target new users who aren’t used to standard game controllers. Nintendo really are targeting all age groups with the Wii and I’m sure that a diet-related game will pull in new gamers, especially with the popularity of health and fitness at the moment. I wonder what other ‘unusual’ games Nintendo has in the bag…
