Counter Strike: Source updated

Counter Strike: SourceWhile I am one of those hardcore CS 1.6 nutters, I tend to start up Counter Strike: Source just for kicks, and also because of the fact that half of my friends’ list is from that game. This morning when I woke up though, I noticed that CS:S wanted to update itself. There aren’t many changes, though; here’s the full list:

  • Increased ES57, Compact 228 and Dual Elites damage by 25%
  • Lowered allowed number of dropped weapons in a level to prevent gun spamming
  • Updated foliage quality in cs_militia

You’ll probably see these updates the next time you start-up Steam. While there isn’t much to write home about, I am surprised with the increased damage in those 3 guns, and by 25% at that! What I’m hoping for in the near future is a few new maps, or atleast a bigger update in them. Until then though, I’ll probably chill out with my newly bought Dual Elites just for fun 😉
