Ruffian Games is giving Xbox 360 gamers a peek at the backstory of Crackdown 2 via a five-episode animated miniseries.

The miniseries shows what happened between the first Crackdown and the sequel. The first episode, “Home Truths”, is already out and can be viewed below. The rest of the episodes will be released on Machinima’s YouTube page on the following dates:

• Episode 2: May 28, 2010
• Episode 3: June 4, 2010
• Episode 4: June 11, 2010
• Episode 5: June 21, 2010

Crackdown 2 launches this July exclusively on Xbox 360.
