Crackdown demo delayed, police continue negotiations

You have the right... to eat my bazooka.

RealTime Worlds regretfully inform that they cannot make the planned January 18 release date for the Crackdown demo downloadable, as it is currently undergoing final certification by Microsoft before the department is confident of letting it loose on the streets. The demo is still on-track to be ready for service before the end of January, RealTime Worlds assures. In the meanwhile, please keep negotiating with all criminal elements until Crackdown demo Agents arrive to take over the situation.

When the demo comes on-line, all are reminded that the demo will not support the “join-in-progress” feature that the full, retail Crackdown will have. Those wishing to organize co-operative missions in Pacific city must organize them through the demo interface. In addition, Agent levelling is enhanced in the demo (as compared to the full retail) to give players the experience of the game’s RPG-like character system in a reasonable amount of time, given that this is, of course, just a demonstration unit.

Finally, the full retail version of Crackdown shall be released to the streets of Pacific City on Tuesday, February 20, as originally scheduled.
