A Crazy Climber sequel for the Nintendo Wii might not exactly be making headlines in the American gaming scene, but it has been in development for quite some time now in Japan. As a matter of fact, it has recently been released with the simple title Crazy Climber, carrying a steep price point.

Japanese website Watch Impress says that Crazy Climber is now retailing for 6,090 Yen which is roughly equivalent to US$ 53.17. While most of us have never been immersed in the Japanese spending culture, we’d probably all agree that spending more than 50 dollars on a single, relatively low-profile Nintendo Wii-title doesn’t go down easy.

Crazy Climber is among gaming’s proponents of weird but funny obstacles to a goal. While climbing tall buildings, windows tend to open and shut at a whim to send you plunging to certain doom, a bald man sadistically drops flower pots at you (what’s his problem?), and strangest of all, a condor passes by every now and then to drop poop on you to give you a little free-fall.
