Create your own PlayStation 3 theme
Ever wanted to create a custom theme for your PlayStation 3’s menu? You know, just like on the PSP. Brent posted a tutorial on his blog on how you can do just that. All you need is a PC, a memory stick, and some imagination. Just as long as you know what you want and you know how to make an image file, you probably won’t even need mad imagination skills. Well, of course you’ll need your PS3 as well. Check out the details in the full article.

First of all you download the theme tool from the PlayStation website. The theme tool will give you the files you’ll need to make your own theme as well as a sample theme.
You’re going to have to make a couple of .png image files for yourself (can’t expect to customize something without some work). Essentially you’ll just be transferring these image files plus some files from the theme tool between your PC and PlayStation 3 via a memory stick.
