Crysis gone gold, ready for November 16 release
After a very successful beta period, as well as the single-player demo releases, the highly-anticipated FPS title Crysis by Crytek for the PC has finally gone gold and is already prepped up for its November 16 release date. The wait is long, especially if you were able to download the demo and checked out the Crysis‘ use of the CryEngine 2 Sandbox editor in creating user-made levels.
Crytek is especially proud of their opus, as can be gleaned from this statement of Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli:
“We are extremely proud of what we have been able to accomplish with Crysis. We wanted to push the boundaries both visually and with open-ended, non-linear gameplay and we believe the end result delivers that vision,”
Based on what we’ve seen from the game so far, the Crytek guys certainly did a good job of pushing the boundaries. But in the end, you the gamers will be the judge. Prepare to give your verdicts come November 16.
