Crysis in crisis: game suffers from delay

Crysis

Crytek has officially announced that Crysis will not be released on the date originally scheduled. The company said the game will ship later than planned but assured fans the new release date will be as soon as possible. However, Crytek and publisher EA did not provide a new date.

The reason for the setback was given as more studio time. “Crysis is an ambitious game in so many aspects and…will be a genuine first for the gaming industry: some of this stuff is really hard and just takes time to get right,” the company statement said. The developer is focusing its efforts on getting the best possible experience for entry-level PC’s up to the hard-core game rigs. Also high on Crytek’s list is the multiplayer function, post-launch modding, and community plans.

Crysis is an FPS sci-fi action game set in the year 2019 which features a highly immersive game experience. When an alien mother spaceship is discovered on an island under North Korean territory, the communist country seal the location from the rest of the world. The United States responds by sending an elite team of Delta Force Operators to recon the situation. The space ship is capable of generating an immense force sphere that is drastically altering the global weather system. Could this be the end of Earth as we know it? We all have to wait for the game to find out…
