cursed-mountainAnother one bites the dust. Cursed Mountain (Wii) developer, Deep Silver Vienna has been closed down by parent company, Koch Media. This, amidst rumors that co-founder Hannes Seifert will be joining publishing giant, Square Enix.

In an official statement sent out to the press, Koch Media talks about their move. “This decision is not easy for us,” it read. But difficult as it is, the global economic meltdown left them with no recourse but this, unfortunately.

They did reassure, however, that all 20 staff members will be paid until March before officially terminating their services. Absorption into Koch Media is not all too impossible anyway, so that definitely is an option for some of those laid off.

Good luck to Koch Media, then, and more importantly, to those who lost their livelihoods because of this event.
