Before we proceed, we’d like the readers to carefully read the title once more. This post is about a STATUS. UPDATE. on R9. So no, don’t even ask if we have the file already because we don’t, and no, this isn’t about the release.

That said, let the orgasmic hype die down and read on for details on StrmnNrmn’s update on his soon to be released N64 emulator for the PSP:

StrmnNrmn says that fixing graphical glitches has kept him busy over the weekend, and he’s also working on putting in place a system that’ll automatically translate N64 blend modes to your beloved handhelds. Once he’s done doing this, all of the purple and black textures you saw in previous releases will be eradicated (hopefully). If you’re itching for more details on this techie hullabaloo, don’t worry. StrmnNrmn says he’ll divulge more details on this once R9 is out.

Included in his current to do list is to fix the glitches in the new UI. Some of which include the following: “audio can’t be disabled once the rom has started and controller can’t be remapped once the rom has started.” More stuff need to be added to the new UI like “reset to main menu, take screenshot,” and tons more.

As an endnote, StrmnNrmn says, “As you can see, it’s quite a short list now, so I’m still on track for releasing R9 by next weekend :).” That’s just a few days from now fellas, so we suggest you stay tuned for more developments on R9. Oh, and kudos to 420tongboker420 and shrimpdude for the heads up!
