DAoC Grab Bag: In-game bugs and Vista clarifications

DAoC - Image 1Do you know what time is it? It’s Grab Bag time! The ever-present Dark Age of Camelot Director for Community Affairs Sanya Thomas was at it again, answering queries and letting players know that Mythic Entertainment is always around, listening and ready to come at their beck and call.

Some players are having problems with Vista. Accordingly, the latest patch note will automatically transfer every data you have on the new location (screenshots, character’s INI and IGN files, etc). However, if you want to transfer your secondary characters’ data as well, you would need to log in with each character for the file to be copied.

Also some fans noticed that there are some discrepancies with in-game items, like the Darkspire Jewelery. One gamer noted that it is for level 49 characters in Albion while it is for level 50 ones for Hibernia. Sanya Thomas explained that this is a result of two devs working on the same project and no specifications were set in the items document. But Thomas promised to look into the matter though.

Another bug was found by one gamer, and Thomas, as always, promised to inform the devs about it. The bug concerns porting from Ligen to anywhere and strafe key. When you tinker with your key so much, you will be shot to Scath Tower 4 and will be forced to work back. And we’re telling you, it’s a long walk back.

Lastly, as we’ve said earlier, Sanya Thomas’ Grab Bag contains so much we can’t help but share it with you. So why not join in the fun by clicking the Read link and grabbing some for yourself?
