Dates for the Concord Beta and the July 12 launch of the Beta Early Access are announced.
Playtesting Concord every day has been a establishing feature of growth and fundamental to our culture at Firewalk and our goal of providing great-feeling online from the beginning of the development process to the start of the game in August. There’s just no substitute for getting your hands on a joystick or mouse and keyboard, squadding up as a team, and experiencing the activity for yourself. We’re so happy to let you know that your first encounter with Concord during our future beta is only a few short weeks aside! How’s all you need to know:
The Concord Beta may push off with an Early Access trip on PS5 and PC* from Friday, July 12 through Sunday, July 14. This first access weekend will be your chance to be one of the first to execute Concord, and you’ll also get to bring your own crew. One for you and four of your companions will receive five rules for Concord Beta Early Access for those who pre-order any model of the publication.
Following the Early Access trip, the Concord Open Beta will be available to all people on PS5 and Computer end on Thursday, July 18 through Sunday, July 21.
No matter what software you play on, the Concord Beta Early Access and Open Beta will offer you the option to play cross-play with friends on either the PS5 or Computer.
You wo n’t have to wait until launch to locate your favorite Freegunner. During the Concord beta vacation, you’ll be able to enjoy as all 16 of the Freegunners that will be accessible at release. There are Freegunners for people of a wide range of playstyles and skill levels, whether you like to work and weapons, lock down an place, lay down fire from far, or back up your staff.
From common faces like Haymar, Vale, Lennox, 1- 0FF, and Star Child from the reveal trailer to various members of the Northstar crew, like It- Z, Teo, Bazz, and more, you’ll get to experiment and learn how each character brings different tactical abilities, traversal and gunplay feel, and, most of all, your individual personality to the battlefield.
You can visit and battle in the Concord Galaxy across multiple worlds and maps throughout both Concord Beta weekends.
During the Concord Beta Early Access weekend, you’ll have a chance to play on four maps:
Freewater: Set in a fortified outpost on Glance, the sun-s scorched planet, Freewater features intersecting perimeter lanes and a large central courtyard in the center of the map, which serves as a focal point for intense combat engagements.
Water Hazard: On the stormy water- covered planet of Leviathan, a massive, armored eel, known as a Morack, has been caught and is being harvested on a large floating fishing rig. In a primary harvesting site, players will compete across the platform and within the jaws of the Morack.
Star Chamber: Situated atop the tallest mountain on the planet Gloom, the observatory has a meteorite at its center and narrow corridors, which provide excellent opportunities for team fights and one-on-one battles.
Shock Risk, which is a massive conductive kite in the sky that produces lightning on the planet Leviathan, has several unique arenas for battling off against other crews using paths that converge on a massive center tower.
During the Open Beta weekend, a new world and fifth map will be introduced: Bone Mines on the planet Akkar.
Bone Mines: The remains of enormous vastadons on the tropical planet Akkar have been transformed into a lucrative Guild mining operation, where you will battle through the excavated bones and mining caverns in a mix of close-quarters and mid-range combat.
The Concord Beta will also have a variety of modes to suit your mood, whether you’re looking to play quick matches after work or play cooperative, competitive games with friends.
Three modes will be available during the Concord Early Access Beta weekend:
Trophy Hunt: A respawn-based mode where you battle to defeat rival crew members and collect their bounty cards to win points for your team. The first team to reach the desired score before the clock runs out wins the game.
A no-respawn mode of Cargo Run where teams compete to find the robotic package delivery system from Blue Buddy, set it up in one of the zones, and defend it from the opposing crew to win.
Clash Point: A no-respawn, round-based game mode in which teams compete to control a single capture zone strategically located on the map.
Then, during the Open Beta weekend, you’ll be able to try out a new mode: Area Control.
Area Control: A respawn mode where teams compete to control multiple control and capture points on the map. To increase your team’s score and reach the winning point threshold, control two or more zones.
You’ll be able to see the beginning of the Northstar crew’s story as well as familiarizing yourself with them through the gameplay. When you play the beta, you’ll be welcomed with the very first of our cinematic vignettes—brief cinematics that, when Concord launches, will premiere every week in game. When the Beta Early Access and then the Open Beta begin, we’ll introduce new cinematic vignettes in-game to give you a sneak peak at how the Northstar crew’s stories will unfold week by week.
We ca n’t wait to see you all in-game during the Concord Beta to get a taste of some of the content that will be available when the game launches on August 23 and that will expand over time through free post-launch updates.
Be sure to stay tuned for more information about the beta, including pre- load and server availability timing, PC specs, and more, by following Concord on Twitter/X, Instagram, and TikTok, as well as by joining the community in the Official Concord Discord.
