Although the upcoming Dead Rising port for the Wii has some new features now that it’s running on the same engine that powered the Wii version of Resident Evil 4, it seems that there may have been some compromises done to get it on the console in the first place.

Looking at the game’s new screenshots (which you can check out below), it looks as if most of the zombies from the Xbox 360 version have called in sick. Still, Dead Rising for the Wii (which is now officially called Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop) still promises some good times ahead.

The port has an the advantage of having an improved save functionality, which a lot of people have complained about in the first game. The game will be released sometime this Winter. Nothing like toasting zombies with some hot cocoa on Christmas morning.
