Def Leppard to debut new single with Guitar Hero 3 song bundle
Did the news of Def Leppard’s confirmed participation in Guitar Hero IV excite the old-school rocker in you? We’ve got better news now as we’ve just got word that the same iconic band will also appear in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock for the PS3 and Xbox 360 in the form of an upcoming DLC pack. It looks like the wait to jam with the group is shorter than expected, and we’ve got more details in the full article up next.
A lot of us were thrilled to find out that iconic rock group Def Leppard’s participation has been confirmed for Guitar Hero IV. However, we were equally amazed to hear just now that we won’t have to wait until the next game in the series to jam with the legendary band.
As it turns out, a Def Leppard song bundle will be released for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (Xbox 360, Wii, PlayStation 3, PC) containing tracks “Nine Lives”, Rock of Ages”, and “Photograph”. They’ll be up for download in the North American PlayStation Network and Xbox Live starting April 24th. PS3 owners in Europe will get the pack come May 8th.
Of particular importance here is the song “Nine Lives”. It’s actually Def Leppard’s upcoming single, and it’ll debut not on radio or MTV, but on Guitar Hero III itself. That’s pretty big, and certainly a first for the gaming and music scenes.
Pricing information has not been specified as of yet, so we’ll have to keep you posted for that. Keep it here with us for more updates on Activision and Neversoft‘s six-string wielding juggernaut of a title.
