Demonstration video: Skype running on PSP Slim
Sony has finally confirmed during CES 2008 that Skype functionality will be added to the PlayStation Portable. This means that it will soon be possible for PSP owners to make calls to other Sony handhelds and PC units.

Portable, the Skype functionality. Note that the service will only be activated for PSP-2000 models and not for the original one due to its memory limitations.
Anyway, the Skype function being added to the PSP has been rumored for quite some time already but it was only a couple of days ago that Sony categorically confirmed its existence, with more details pouring in at this year’s currently running Consumer Electronics Show.
For those of you not quite familiar with how this program will be utilized in your handhelds, watch the video below as it will provide you with a good head start. It was said that Skype for the PSP will be launched some time during the last week of January and will coincide with a firmware update.
