Details, images of Haze vehicles hit the gas

The Promise Hand's Diente Del Serpiente - Image 1As we come close to the late November release of Ubisoft Entertainment and Free Radical‘s Sony PlayStation 3 exclusive Haze, the developers were nice enough to show us what vehicles to expect in the game. And just like what we’ve heard, there’s good variety for both Mantel and Promise Hand sides.

Aside from ample amount of Nectar, the Mantel has access to different rides. The Boxcart, for one, is a light transport equipped with a fixed JM90 Heavy Gun turret. The Bigboy may look like a futuristic firetruck, but it’s got good speed and an electromagnetic coil cannon as a viable transport vehicle. Mantel’s airborne transport, Mrs. Mantel, has enough space to carry plenty of babies around.

Being a rebel group with limited resources, Promise Hand vehicles don’t have all the bells and whistles but they’re more efficient in jungle warfare. A good example is the Macho (Stag), which is “salvaged, constructed and repaired on-the-fly,” and proves to be reliable in jungle environments. The Mula (Mule), is another barebones ride for two people who want to move around quickly.

Compared to the advanced Mrs. Mantel, the Palo Hueco (Hollow Bat) is a mere chopper with miniguns made to carry soldiers and eliminate ground forces to secure drop points. What the Promise Hand has that Mantel guys can’t match is the Diente de la Serpiente (The Serpent’s Tooth), a mobile missile launcher that carries a 26-meter long nuclear missile for massive damage against the opposing side’s Land Carrier.

According to the post where these vehicles were revealed, the rides will be available in single, co-op, and multiplayer modes in some form or another. Considering how most of them are transports, it’s easy to imagine riding with a buddy unless you’re on The Serpent’s Tooth. However, it looks like we’ll have to wait ’til Free Radical’s Haze hits the shelves before we see them in action. Here’s to hoping they’re available in the demo, too.
