Details on Naruto: Rise of a Ninja’s gameplay modes

Naruto: Rise of a Ninja - Image 1Teasing us with a trailer and screenshots and then leaving us hungry for months, Ubisoft Montreal has finally released new information on the newest Naruto game to be released on the Xbox 360.

Wanting to stay true to the anime series, writers for Naruto: Rise of a Ninja started the game right from the beginning of the series and focused on Naruto‘s training into becoming a ninja. You will be following his adventures, misadventures and mischiefs. Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi will, of course, be there.

The game will have three modes of gameplay. The RPG mode will start Naruto’s story in the village of Konoha – the same village that a nine-tailed demon fox attacked twelve years before and was sealed in the body of a baby (i.e. Naruto himself).

The story will progress by earning money and acceptance as a respected ninja. The Adventure mode will be mission-based and players will get to use Naruto’s transformation techniques with Tenchu-style action. The Fight mode allows players to beat the living crap  cat whiskers out of each other, ninja-style.

Gameplay will have you learning everything you need to know to become a ninja (in the Naruto universe, so don’t start throwing shurikens IRL). Players will learn taijutsus and ninjutsus, master chakra, and of course slice and dice with an arsenal of ninja weapons.

Non-Naruto fans will now have a reason to get hooked themselves. Pick up a copy of Naruto: Rise of a Ninja out this October.
