Over at Japan, Dengeki magazine got a bit of a status update on Final Fantasy XIII (PS3, Xbox 360) straight from Square Enix. So, curious of how everything's going for this baby? Well, don't worry, they reassure everyone that the game's still on track for a release this year. (Wait, how come I feel like I've heard that before? Umm... anyway, moving on...)
Here's the deal. Let's do bullet points, shall we?
- Story and Scenario is 100% done.
- Graphics around 80% complete.
- Battle system currently still being refined.
- All screens and videos anyone's ever seen so far have been taken from previous builds of the Crystal Tools engine. They've advanced further along and we can probably even expect more from the finished product.
- When asked about DLC, the devs responded that there are no current plans of making add-on content available. As always, since we have the "current" clause in that statement, this indicates that it's not altogether impossible.
