Developer Braid: We wanted Premium Theme to be for free, but MS doesn’t like giving freebies
A few days ago, the new Braid Premium Theme was released on Xbox Live. Apparently, however, not everyone was happy with how the release turned out. The Braid Team expressed their dismay on their blog over Microsoft‘s decision to charge a fee for the theme, when supposedly the devs wanted “to make it free.”

The Braid Team expressed their dismay on their blog over Microsoft‘s decision to charge a fee for the theme, when supposedly the devs wanted “to make it free.”
Said their post, “Unfortunately, we had to charge the standard Premium Theme price of 250 Miscrosoft Points (which is about US$ 3.10 in American money). We want to make it free, but Microsoft doesn’t like giving things out for free.” Ouch, total burn!
The post continued, “But if you do buy it, you can be secure in the knowledge that you own one of the few Premium Themes that is not an advertisement — there is no text in the Braid theme anywhere.”
Did you get? If not, are you getting it still now knowing full well that somebody’s been playing the big bad, green wolf again?
