Devs introduce new quest for first month anniversary of PotBS

Happy first month anniversary to Flying Lab Software‘s Pirates of the Burning Sea! And what better way to celebrate the swashbuckling MMO game’s first month than by opening a new quest which will feature a unique piece of avatar outfitting for your character as a prize for completing it? In celebration of Pirates of the Burning Sea‘s first month since its official release, Flying Lab Software is offering a special quest event which will feature a unique piece of avatar outfitting you won’t be able to find anywhere else: the Celebration Mask.

Four new NPCs from the Noble Order of Toastmistresses will be scattered across the game world, each willing to listen to players who wish to take on the challenge of obtaining the Celebration Mask. Each Toastmistress, one for each of the four factions, will exchange a party horn, a set of champagne glasses, a tin of facepaint, a delicious cake, and a celebratory pinwheel for the Mask.

Upon first talking with the Toastmistress, she will give you a crate containing five of the same item from one of the quest requirements described above – for example, five delicious cakes. You can then trade off your extra items with other players for all the other requirements needed to complete the quest.

As for the NPCs, you can find the British Toastmistress in Port Royal and look for the charming Miss Penelope Askham. Spanish Toastmistress Novia Vela hails from San Juan, while French players can raise a toast to Mademoiselle Carole Dubray in Pointe-Pitre. Lastly, swashbuckling pirates can search for Desdemona Fabritzius in the “pirate capital” of Tortuga.

Once you’ve gotten your festive Celebration Mask, make sure to take a couple of screenshots of your character wearing it since the developers will be opening a thread on the PotBS forums showing off the best mask-wearing avatars out there.
